About
Grand Falls-Windsor Pride was established in spring 2018 when a small group of like-minded people came together to show love and support to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Central NL by organizing the first annual Grand Falls-Windsor Pride Week. In 2019 we became an incorporated non-profit group. We have a dedicated group of passionate volunteers who make up our Board of Directors and planning committee.

What We Do

Annual GFW Pride Week
Celebrating our local 2SLGBTQIA+ community
Since 2018, we've been hosting our annual GFW Pride Week. With the Covid-19 pandemic we've had to move our in-person week of celebration to a week of digital and Covid-safe events. We're hoping to be back in person in 2022 with a week of events that is kicked off by an in-person Pride Flag-Raising and March!

Spreading Awareness
Connecting others to resources and community
By sponsoring community events such as movies where we share information on local resources, we are helping to spread awareness and support for our local 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Recognizing that Central Newfoundland is made up of many small communities that may not have resources and support for a full Pride organization, we are committed to also supporting spreading awareness

Amplifying Services and Supports
Accessing resources and support
At Grand Falls-Windsor Pride, we are dedicated to not reinventing the wheel when it comes to resources and support but instead amplify these resources and opportunities so that more people throughout GFW and Central can be informed.
